Sterile organisms are those organisms that are unable to produce their offsprings or children.
There are various reason:
1. Underdeveloped sexual organs.
2. Fail to form gametes.
3. Fail to reproduce.

They cannot reproduce by natural means.
In case of humans, there are various Assisted Reproductive Techniques are used. These techniques have not been used in dogs.
