Solution

Notochord:

  1. A notochord is present in humans during the embryonic stages and is usually replaced by a vertebral column.
  2. The formation process starts when the notochord begins to appear from the prechordal plate.
  3. This plate forms between the oropharyngeal membrane and the tip of the notochord.
  4. There is also direct contact between the endoderm and the ectoderm without the mesoderm in the prechordal plate.
  5. The prenotochordal cells sheathing in primitive node, cranially moves forward in the midline till it arrives at the prechordal plate which forms the notochordal process.
