The following is the Journal entry for dishonour of cheque.

Journal Entry
Date	Particulars		L.F.	Debit Amount ( Rs )	Credit Amount ( Rs )
	Debtors A/c	Dr.
	To Bank A/c
	(Cheque dishonored)

Thus, the dishonoured cheque will be recorded on the credit side of Cash Book in the Bank Column.
