When chlorine is bubbled through potassium iodide solution iodine is displaced. If iodine is bubbled through potassium chloride solution is chlorine displaced? explain.

Chlorine is more electronegative than iodine. It displaces iodine from potassium iodide solution to give potassium chloride, because chlorine is more reactive than iodine. However, iodine cannot displace chlorine from potassium chloride solution because iodine is less reactive than chlorine.
