Solution

The correct option is A End of expiration and beginning of inspiration
Breathing involves inhalation and exhalation of oxygen and carbon dioxide. The diaphragm plays important role during breathing process. During inhalation, the diaphragm contracts and moves downward and increases the space in the chest cavity. It also creates a vacuum for fresh air to come into the lungs. At this point, the diaphragm is flat. During exhalation, the diaphragm relaxes and moves upwards. At this point, the diaphragm becomes dome shaped. This will decrease the chest cavity and deflate the lungs. This will result in expelling of air. Hence, when diaphragm is completely dome shaped, it shows end of expiration and beginning of inspiration.
Thus, the correct answer is 'End of expiration and beginning of inspiration.'
