The battle of Peshwar took place between the Maratha and the Durrani empire or the Afgan empire on 8 May 1758. Durrani's were controlling the Peshawar fort before this battle but were defeated and send back to Afganistan. This battle increases Maratha's dominance to the border of Afghanistan.
