Solution

(a) Given fraction = 14
In order to make the denominator as 12, we will multiply the denominator by 3 and we will also multiply the numerator by 3, to find the equivalent fraction.
        14=1×34×3=312
Hence, when 14 is written with denominator as 12, then is numerator will be 3.
