$K I$ forms a complex with $H g I_{2}$ .
$2 K I + H g I_{2} ⟶ K_{2} H g I_{4}$
Therefore, the number of particles in solution decreases resulting in the decrease in relative lowering of vapour pressure. Hence, vapour pressure increases.
