  1. Current only flows when a circuit is complete, when there are no gaps in it.
  2. In a complete circuit, the electrons flow from the negative terminal (connection) on the power source, through the connecting wires and components, such as bulbs, and back to the positive terminal.
  3. When a charge is flowing in a circuit, the current is said to exist.
  4. Current is a mathematical quantity that describes the rate at which charge flows past a point.
