Solution

The correct options are
A

parallel and same in direction

B

parallel and opposite in direction

In triangle ABO,

As the sum of all the angles= 180o

BAO + ABO + AOB = 180o

90o1 + 90o2 + 90o = 180o
That gives θ1+ θ2=90o

Angle between incident ray and reflected ray= 2(θ1+ θ2) = 180o

So, the outgoing ray is parallel and opposite in direction to the incident ray.
