Passive immunity is the type of immunity which is conferred when the ready-made antibodies are administered. For example, when somebody has suffered from the snake bite, then the antibodies prepared in the horses are extracted and administered in the body of the patient. In active immunity, the antibodies are made to be produced in the body of the person by injecting the vaccine.
