Solution

The correct option is D +6 to+3
The formation of Cr2(SO4)3 is given by the equation:
K2Cr2O7+2H2SO4+3SO22Cr2(SO4)3+K2SO4+H2O

In K2Cr2O7,
Oxidation no. of Cr=+6
2(1)+2x+2(7)=0x=+6.

In Cr2(SO4)3,
Oxidation number of Cr=+3
2x+3(2)=0x=+3
change in oxidation state is +6 to +3
