Fasciculated roots are a type of adventitious root modifications. From the base or lower nodes of stem these tuberous roots arise in clusters, e.g., Dahlia, Asparagus, Ruellia etc. Nodulose roots are also modified adventitious roots but these are slender, become swollen near the apex and form nodule-like structures. Beaded roots are swollen at regular intervals whereas annulated roots have a series of ring-like swellings giving the appearance of discs placed one above the other.
