when the earth rotates faster, what happens to the 'g'(acceleration due to gravity) at the poles of earth?

Open in App
Solution

There is no change in acceleration due to gravity at the poles because the poles lie at the axis of rotation of the earth and hence there is no effect of any force that arises due to the rotation of the earth, which generally is pseudo and centrifugal in nature.
