Solution

Dear Student,

The eye lens becomes more convex meaning, it becomes thick, the focal length decreases and it will focus the nearby objects onto the retina.

Therefore, the converging power of the lens increases.

Accommodation: When eye-lens can focus the distant as well as nearby objects on the retina by changing the focal length of an eye lens is known as accommodation. And the eye is called accommodated.
