Let original length = x and breadth = y,

Then 2 (4x + y) = 540 $⟹$ 4 x + y = 270 -- (i)

And area = 4x $\times$ y = 14000 $⟹$xy = 3500 -- (ii)

From (1) and (2) $\Rightarrow$ x = 50 or 70 Putting x = 70 in (i) -- y = - 10 which is not possible.

$\therefore$ Length of rectangle is 50 m.
