Let initial price of a table was X Rs and number of chair sold was Y.

So, Initial total earning =X×Y=XY Rs

Now, price reduce by 15%.

So, New price =X15% of X=0.85X

Number of tables sold increased by 60%

Number of table sold=Y+60% of Y=1.6Y

New total earning =0.85X×1.6Y=1.36XY Rs

Increase in sales =1.36XYXY=0.36XY Rs

Increase in percentage=Increase×100Initial Earning=0.36XY×100XY=36%
