Let the mass and radius of Earth be M and R respectively. Acceleration due to gravity
g=GMR2
Now Radius
R=RR100=0.99R
So acceleration due to gravity
g=GM(0.99)2
or g=1.02GMR2
Now change in acceleration due to gravity
=gg
=(1.021)GMR2
=(0.02)GMR2
Thus acceleration due to gravity increased by 2%
So (a) option is correct answer.
