Let the sale price be x
Amount paid when rate of sales tax is 9% will be
Amount = $x+\frac{9}{100}\times x=\frac{109}{100}x$
Amount paid when rate of sales tax is 6% will be
Amount = $x+\frac{6}{100}\times x=\frac{106}{100}x$
According to question,
$\frac{109}{100}x-\frac{106}{100}x=783$
$\frac{3}{100}x=783$
x=$\frac{783\times 100}{3}$
x= Rs.26100
