When the system 2HI(g)H2(g)+I2(g) is at equilibrium. if inert gas is introduced,then dissociation of HI is will not change . For the above reaction, Δn=1+12=0. There is no change in the number of moles of gaseous species. Hence, the change in pressure has no effect on the equilibrium.
