When the volume of an object is halved what will be the increase in pressure exerted by it?

Pressure is given by the relation

Pressure=ForceArea

We know that volume id proportional to area. If volume is decreased the area of the object also decreases. As a result, pressure on the body will increase. The amount of change in pressure can be quantitatively described if the shape of the object in known.
If the volume is reduced by 1/2, then area will reduce by a quantity 223.
Hence, pressure will increase by an amount 223.
