Question

Solution

The correct option is B 1.1 m/s and 0.5 m/s
Let velocity of bodies be v1 and v2.
In first case, relative velocity
u1=v1+v2....(i)
In second case, relative velocity
u2=v1v2......(ii)
v1=u1+u22 and v2=u1u22
Here u1=1610 m/s and u2=35 m/s
After solving we have
v1=1.1 m/s and v2=0.5 m/s
