Water starts boiling at 100oC temperature. After this temperature., the temperature of water becomes constant for some time even after the constant supply of heat.
Here the heat supplied is used to overcome the intermolecular force of attraction present in a water molecule to convert it into vapour.
This heat is known as latent heat of vaporization.
The change in temperature only takes place after conversion of water into vapour.
