When we burn a candle, which of the following changes occur?
Physical Change
Chemical Change
Both physical and chemical changes occur because, upon heating, the wax first undergoes the process of melting followed by burning. Here, melting is a physical change as the melted wax can again be obtained as solid wax upon the removal of heat, whereas, burning is a chemical change, as once the wax has been burnt, it cannot be obtained back in its original form.
While natural changes are those that take place in nature by themselves and burning of candle cannot be done without human efforts so it is not a natural change. Moreover, it is not a periodic change because it is not repeated at regular intervals of time.
