When we hit 2 stones they produce fire.....why ??
Why metals cannot do so????
Most metals can burn. In fact, it burns very hot, and is very difficult to put out. Metal fires are not a fun thing to deal with.
The reason you rarely see metals burn is because the air can't get inside it. The surface layer reacts with oxygen, forming a barrier so the oxygen can't get to the rest of the metal, so the flame can't continue. If you arrange metal so that air can get inside (like a metal powder dispersed in the air, or very fine steel wool), it will light on fire quite easily, and be very difficult to put out. This is actually a real danger in facilities that produce metal dust, like machine shops. If enough fine metal dust accumulates and gets dispersed in the air, you can have a massive fireball.
