To insert Rational numbers between any given consecutive rational numbers(integral), we have to find the sum of two numbers and then divide the sum by 2.

Between 8 and 9 :

First Number = 8+92 = 8.5

Second Number = 8+8.52 = 8.25

We can also find second number differently by taking 8.5 as 1st and 9 as 2nd rational number. Then the inserted number will be :

8.5+92 = 8.75
