Solution

Each point: 1 Mark

1. When you rub a plastic scale on your dry hair, the scale can attract very small pieces of paper.
2. By rubbing, the charges transfer from hair and accumulate at the rubbed portion of scale which attracts the paper pieces.
3. But in the case of a finger and metallic pen, the charges transferred from hair to object can flow freely and are not accumulated.
Hence there is no force due to accumulated charge and so these objects cannot attract paper pieces.
