It is dependent on two parameters namely birth rate and death rate
It is measured by calculating the difference between the birth and the death rate.
The trend of population growth:
If the number of deaths is more compared to the number of births, then the population shows a negative trend.
If the number of births is more compared to the number of deaths, then the population shows a positive trend.
