When you try to measure melting point or boiling of any mixture, you do not get a sharp fixed point. Explain its reason.

A mixture consist of two or more different substances, which are not chemically joined. As the process of melting takes place, the components of the mixture melt at different rates because of different types of forces present, and hence they have different melting points.
