Solution
Dear student,
Concentrated sulphuric acid (H2SO4) is a strong oxidizing agent so it oxidizes the Zinc as follows : Zn + 2 H2SO4 (conc) → ZnSO4 +2 H2O + SO2
Instead of hydrogen gas, sulphur dioxide gas is released.
