Whenever lithium loses its one electron , it is said to be stable. But there after losing one electron , there would be 3 protons and 2 electrons so it has a positive charge right ? So how come it is stable after losing one electron ?

Solution
Dear Student...
In chemistry all those elements are extra stable whose outer shell is either completely filled or half filled... In this particular case Li+ is more stable as compared to Li because it has completely filled outer most shell i.e 1s having two electrons whereas Li has only one electron in its outer orbital i.e 2s(1)
