Solution
Premature atrial contractions (PACs) :
Premature atrial contractions (PACs) are the extra heartbeats that starts in the upper chambers of the heart, known as atria.
Occurrence:
Whenever an early or premature signal is given to the heart to contract, and if there is no enough blood to pump out, a pause and a strong beat may follow the extra heartbeat, making it feel like a skipped beat.
The premature atrial contractions could be normally conducted to the ventricles, blocked at the AV node, or conducted aberrantly.
Isolated premature atrial contractions (PACs) are most common in adults but rare in small children and infants.
The most common symptom includes heart palpitations, unusual rhythming of heartbeats.
