The light dependent reactions is a photochemical reaction taking place in the thyllakoid membranes of chloroplasts.
It involves conversion of light energy into chemical energy.
In this reaction, the energy from the sunlight is absorbed by chlorophyll and converted into chemical energy in the form of electron carrier molecules like ATP and NADPH.
Later , this stored energy is utilized by the chloroplast to drive the light independent reaction that produces the final sugar molecules.
