Spores are the reproductive cells with thick resistive walls produced by certain organisms such as bacteria and fungi.
These spores are produced in specialised structures called sporangia or spore sacs.
Bread mold (a fungus) also contains sporangia that produce spores. Sporangia in these organisms arise from thread-like structures called sporangiophores.
The spores then disperse into the environment and germinate under suitable conditions to produce new organisms.
