Where are squamous simple epithelial tissues found?
Bowman's Capsule
Squamous simple epithelial tissue is found in the inner lining of lungs and on the surface of most organs but it is present abundantly in the Bowman's capsule of a nephron. It is required where rapid diffusion of substances happen and they are quite permeable. In fact, in the Bowman's capsule, it aids in ultrafiltration. Skin is lined by stratified squamous epithelium. The endometrium is lined by Columnar epithelial cells and salivary ducts are lined by glandular epithelial cells.
