Where are the following parts located on the plant :
root cap, root hair, stalk, veins, thalamus.
Root cap - This is the part of the root which covers its tip.
Root hairs - These are the fibres such as outgrowths emerging from the root tip.
Stalk - This is also known as the petiole which joins the leaf to the main stem.
Veins - These are the net−like patterns present in the lamina of the leaf. Veins provide rigidity to the leaf and also help in the transportation of water, minerals and food.
Thalamus - This is the swollen end of the stalk (pedicel). Four different kinds of whorls are arranged on the thalamus i.e., Calyx, corolla, androecium and gynoecium.
