Where are the stomata found in Funaria ?

Funaria :

1. It is a type of moss which grows on moist, shady and damp soil.
2. The body have radial symmetry with a differentiated axis or stem, leaves and phyllodes .

Location of Stomata:

1. In Funaria, the stomata are absent on leaves, instead they are present in capsule known as “apophysis”.
2. Apophysis is the basal portion of the capsule in continuation with seta.
3. The outer layer of apophysis is epidermis, comprising of stomata for the exchange of gases.
