Solution

Oogamous:

  1. The oogamous state occurs when a smaller, motile male gamete mates with one large nonmotile (static) female gamete.
  2. It is a heterogamous type of sexual reproduction in which an immotile and big egg or ovum is fertilized with a small and motile sperm cell.
  3. Different species of algae exhibit this type of sexual reproduction.
  4. It can be observed in Fucus, Volvox, etc.
