  1. Zooidogamy is a method of sexual reproduction where male gametes swim in the water to get to female gamete.
  2. The male gamete is called antherozoids, and the female gamete is archegonium.
  3. It is a primitive method of sexual reproduction found in a lower group of organisms.
  4. In this method of reproduction, male gametes swim through the water and reach to female gamete for fertilization and formation of the embryo.
  5. This method of reproduction can be found in lower groups of organisms like Algae, Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, and some Gymnosperms.
  6. It gives the relationship between plants and animals and describes evolution as is way to the method of abiotic pollination, and the same mechanism is used in animals.
