  1. An air core inductor is a type of wire coil that contains no solid core.
  2. Air core inductors work without a magnetic core and only work with the help of air inside of the coil.
  3. Air core inductors are used in filter circuits, TV, and radio receivers that have a high frequency.
  4. These are also used in constructing RF tuning coils.
  5. These are used in inter-stage coupling.
  6. Coils are generally made up of copper wires with insulation and non-stripped ends and tinned or bare ends as shown in the following figure :
