Light Reaction:
The light reaction takes place in the chloroplast structures called grana.
Light energy is converted into chemical energy and is stored as ATP molecules during this phase.
Also, water that reaches the leaf splits into hydrogen and oxygen during light reaction. (2 marks)
Dark reaction:
Dark reactions occur in the stroma of the chloroplast.
During this process, hydrogen is added to carbon to form glucose using the energy of ATP molecules from the light reaction.
