Question

Where does the centre of gravity lie, when a boy is doing sit-ups? Does weight vector pass through the base or move away from the base? Explain.

Solution

When a boy is doing sit-ups , the centre of gravity keeps on moving up and down. Thus, center of gravity is not fixed, it keeps changing when the boys do sit-up.

The weight vector passes through the base but it also keeps moving slightly.
