Krebs cycle:

  1. It is also referred to as the tricarboxylic acid cycle or citric acid cycle.
  2. The overall result of the Kreb cycle is the production of two molecules of carbon dioxide for each acetyl group that enters the cycle as Acetyl-CoA.

Location:

This cycle occurs in the matrix of mitochondria ( cell organelle present in eukaryotic cells).
