Open in App
Solution

Guttation:

  1. Guttation refers to the exudation of xylem sap from the tips or margins of the leaves of certain vascular plants.
  2. When the soil is highly wet and the roots absorb water, guttation occurs at night.
  3. Root pressure causes water to squeeze out of the plant.
  4. It is mostly observed at the tips of the leaves or the blades of the plant if there is too much water.
