  3. Algae is mostly of the genera Eucheuma, Gelidium, and Gracilaria.
  4. These tiny algae are high in mucilage, a form of fiber, and have a reddish stem.
  5. Once they have dried in the sun, they are retrieved by soaking in hot water.
  6. It is utilized as a kind of cultural media.
