Switch is used to off or on an electric appliance or devices in an electric circuit.
Switches are always connected to the live wire because the live wire carries a voltage of 220 V and the passage of this voltage can be disabled by switching off the circuit.
Domestic appliances should be connected in parallel connection, since in parallel connection, switching on or off an electric appliance has no effect on other electric appliances.
The advantage of such an arrangement is that, if a device in an electric circuit breaks downs, it will not affect other devices.
When distribution circuits are in parallel, each circuit can be operated independently.
