a. Cotton is mainly grown in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.ā€‹

Black soil is very productive and apt for cotton growth. It grows well in the Deccan plateau region.

It requires tropical and sub-tropical humid climatic conditions, with
210 frost-free days and bright sunshine .
d. It mainly grows in drier regions , with high temperature and light rainfall conditions.

nnual temperature apt for its growth is between 20°-28°C. and an average annual rainfall of 50-100 cm is considered to be an ideal for cotton growth.
