Nucleoid is found in the prokaryotic cell-like bacteria. The prokaryotes like bacteria do not contain the proper structure of the nucleus and hence have nucleoid present in them. It contains all the genetic information of the prokaryotes. It extends in the cytoplasm throughout in prokaryotes.
