Solution
Digestion:
Digestion is referred to as the process of converting complex food molecules into simpler ones and absorbing essential nutrients and water from them.
Digestion starts with Mouth.
In the mouth, ingestion of food, the first step of digestion occurs.
Food intake is done with the help of the mouth.
Then chewing and biting lead to the breaking of food particles into smaller ones.
Then saliva and salivary amylase (hormone) mix with food.
Then food is transferred to the stomach through the esophagus.
The mouth is the first place digestion occurs.
