Prominent ores of Cu are:

Chalcopyrite: CuFeS₂

Chalcolyte: Cu₂S

Cuprite: Cu₂O

Small amount of copper in native form is extracted distorted cubic crystals chunks. Copper in native form found in Keweenaw Peninsula near Lake Superior in Michigan.
